Landon Gibson – Teaching Vice Principal at École South Pointe, effective September 2, 2025
Landon is currently a School Counsellor at École Viscount Alexander and brings a strong background in inclusive education, with experience in learning support, classroom teaching, and supporting diverse student populations, including newcomers and youth in care.
At the heart of her educational philosophy is the belief that true learning happens when every child feels safe, valued, and inspired. She shares:
“I am committed to cultivating a warm, inclusive, and creative environment where all students, regardless of their background, identity, or lived experience, feel seen, heard, valued, and celebrated for who they are.”
Landon holds a Bachelor of Education, a Bachelor of Arts, a Post-Baccalaureate in Education, a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology, and has also earned certification in Applied Counselling.
Jaime Timmerman – Teaching Vice Principal at Chancellor School, effective September 2, 2025
Jaime is currently a Resource Teacher at École Van Walleghem School and brings over 12 years of expertise in student services to her new leadership role. Jaime has a proven ability to transform vision into action through data-informed leadership, inclusive program development, and system-wide collaboration.
Jaime is a dedicated advocate for staff and student development, recognizing the powerful impact that strong relationships have on their success. She shares:
“I take great pride in my ability to build strong, meaningful relationships with both students and staff, serving as a trusted advocate as they navigate challenges and pursue growth. I am deeply committed to fostering supportive, engaging, and inclusive environments where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”
Jaime holds a Bachelor of Education, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Guidance Counselling.
Shannon Peever – Principal at Beaverlodge School, effective September 2, 2025
Shannon is currently the Vice Principal at École South Pointe School and prior to this was a student services teacher at General Byng School and École South Pointe School.
Shannon shares: “It has been my experience that some of the greatest indicators of success are a belief in oneself and a desire to learn and grow. Conversations that lead to “lightbulb moments”, the spark that grows into an amazing idea and a newfound confidence – these are the moments that drive my passion for education. When we show others that we believe in them, they begin to believe in themselves. I believe that this is as true for adults as it is for children.”
Shannon holds a Post Baccalaureate in Special Education, Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts. She has also earned certifications from the Pembina Trails Leadership Development Program and Cognitive Coaching Programs.
Carla Sadler – Principal at Whyte Ridge School, effective September 2, 2025
Carla is currently the Principal at Beaverlodge School and has also held a leadership role as Vice Principal at Arthur A. Leach School and as Acting Principal at Ralph Maybank School.
Carla believes that building relationships is key to successful leadership. She shared:
“At the core of my beliefs about education is building genuine relationships. Knowing staff and students on an individual and personal level is the first step to creating an environment that promotes trust and respect. It is important to me to intentionally create spaces where all individuals feel seen, heard, and respected. I strive to embed inclusive practices into the fabric of a school culture so that all school community members have a voice and feel a true sense of belonging.”
Carla holds a Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts, and a Master of Education with a focus on Educational Administration.
Chantal Rochon – Principal at École Dieppe, effective September 2, 2025
Chantal is currently the Principal at École Crane and previously held the position of Acting Vice Principal at Fort Richmond Collegiate. With 27 years of experience across early, middle, and senior years, Chantal has developed extensive expertise in French Immersion and the unique needs of second-language learners.
Chantal is dedicated to supporting the goals of French Immersion by fostering a love for the language through enriching cultural experiences that enhance every student’s education. She shared:
"I believe in teaching practices that embrace inclusivity, supporting language development while recognizing the individuality of each learner. Through empathy, collaboration, and mutual respect, educators foster an environment where all students—regardless of their background or proficiency—feel valued, supported, and inspired to excel."
Chantal holds a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts from the Université de Saint-Boniface. She has also earned certifications from the Pembina Trails Leadership Development Program and Cognitive Coaching Programs and holds an Administrator Level 1 Certification.
Bronwen Davies – Principal at École Viscount Alexander School, effective September 2, 2025
Bronwen is currently the Principal at École Dieppe and has previously held leadership positions at École South Pointe and École Charleswood Schools. With 22 years of experience across early, middle, and senior years environments, she has developed extensive expertise in French Immersion, both in dual-track and milieu settings.
Bronwen firmly believes that strong relationships are fundamental to enriching both student and staff learning. She shared:
“As a school leader, I am deeply committed to building trusting, collaborative relationships with staff, students, and families. I value the opportunity to nurture teacher growth by recognizing and leveraging individual strengths, fostering professional learning communities, and leading with empathy and clarity - even in difficult conversations.”
Bronwen holds a Baccalaureate in Education, Baccalaureate of Arts, Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Education and a Master of Education with a focus on Curriculum, Teaching and Learning. She has also earned certification from the Pembina Trails Leadership and Cognitive Coaching Programs.
Glenys MacLeod – Principal at École South Pointe School, effective September 2, 2025
Glenys is currently the Principal of École Viscount Alexander and previously held leadership positions as Vice-Principal at École Charleswood and École South Pointe School. Before taking on her current role, she served as the Principal of Learning and Inclusion in Pembina Trails School Division. Her background is deeply rooted in educational leadership, curriculum development, and French Immersion instruction for second-language learners.
Glenys believes in the power of curiosity and providing students with opportunities to engage in their own learning experience. She shared:
“Today’s rapidly changing world requires that we are more than literate and numerate, we need to be passionately curious, fearless in exploration, and relentless in learning. Through rigorous and engaging models of inquiry, problem-based and experiential learning, educators can honour the many ways of knowing, being, doing, and becoming of their learners.”
Glenys holds a Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Science, Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Education with a focus on Inclusive Special Education, a Master of Education in Educational Administration, and a Doctorate in Education. She has also earned certification from the Pembina Trails Leadership Development and Cognitive Coaching Programs.
Angèle Comeau – Principal at École Crane, effective September 2, 2025
Angèle comes to Pembina Trails School Division as an experienced educational leader with a strong background in Kindergarten to Grade 12 instruction, including expertise in French Immersion. She has successfully served as a principal, vice principal, and teacher, demonstrating her ability to lead, mentor, and support both students and staff.
Angèle is committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment where diverse needs are recognized and embraced. She shared:
“Inclusion is at the heart of my work. I view it not as an initiative but a mindset—one that ensures all students, including second language learners and those with diverse needs, are valued, seen, and supported. Structured literacy, culturally responsive teaching, and early intervention strategies are essential tools in this work.”
Angèle holds a Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts, a Masters in Education with a focus on school administration, and is currently completing a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Education.
Rachel Otto – Vice Principal at École secondaire Oak Pak High School, effective September 2, 2025
Rachel is currently the Teaching Vice Principal at Chancellor School and has held teaching positions at Institut Collégial Vincent Massey Collegiate, École South Pointe, and École St. Avila. With extensive experience in French Immersion programming, she brings a deep understanding of the needs of second-language learners to her new role.
Rachel is deeply committed to the belief that strong relationships are essential to student learning and success. She shared:
“As an educator, I have seen firsthand the impact of positive teacher student relationships as well as the importance of having strong home school relationships. As an educator, I seek to create rich classroom discussions and to prompt students to think critically as well as to foster a curiosity and love of learning.”
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts, Post Baccalaureate in Special Education and has earned certification from the Pembina Trails Leadership Development and Cognitive Coaching Programs. Rachel is currently in the process of obtaining her Masters in Educational Leadership.
Lyle Morris – Teaching Vice Principal at École secondaire Oak Pak High School, effective September 2, 2025
Lyle is currently a Resource Teacher and Counsellor at Prairie Sunrise School, bringing extensive experience from similar roles at Acadia Junior High, École secondaire Oak Park High School, and other schools across multiple divisions. With over 25 years of teaching experience in early years, middle years, and senior high school, Lyle has developed a deep understanding of student needs at each stage of their education.
Lyle believes in empowering students to become lifelong learners. He shared:
“My job as an educator is to help create the conditions for students to embrace lifelong learning, to be critical thinkers and problem solvers. I want my students to be confident, collaborative, self-aware, and creative. I want them to see and know that we are stronger together.”

Mike Weekes – Principal at Shaftesbury High School, effective September 2, 2025
Mike is currently the Principal at Whyte Ridge School and has held Vice-Principal positions at Shaftesbury High School, Fort Richmond Collegiate, and Westdale School. Mike has extensive experience working with resource and student services teams across various school settings. He has a deep understanding of the circle of care and the layered nature of student support systems, giving him a comprehensive view of how stakeholders collaborate to support student needs.
Mike is committed to fostering a culturally aware and equitable school environment. He shares:
“Through building positive relationships and modelling efficacy, I want to lead all individuals to achieve their goals and realize their potential. I want to help create and maintain a school environment that recognizes all members of the school community as integral pieces of the learning process.”
Mike holds a Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Physical Education and Masters in Educational Administration. He has also earned certification from the Pembina Trails Leadership Development Program, Cognitive Coaching, and iPEC Energy Leadership Programs.
Shannon Tipping – Divisional Principal of Curriculum, Assessment and Learning Services, effective August 5, 2025
Shannon is currently the Principal at École South Pointe School and has held leadership positions at the Department of National Defense in the role of Canadian Principal at AFNORTH International School in the Netherlands, Principal at École Viscount Alexander and École Dieppe, and was Vice-Principal at École Dieppe and École St. Avila.
Shannon is passionate about engaging students in learning and has worked with Early Years and Middle Years programming, as well as English, English as an Additional Language, and French Immersion language programming.
Shannon is deeply committed to cultivating a safe, inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered to thrive. She shares:
“I believe there needs to be a safe and secure environment established for students where they feel accepted, valued and feel a sense of belonging. The importance of embracing diversity in schools so students develop their sense of cultural identity is not only a strength but a necessity for fostering a rich, safe learning environment.”
Shannon holds a Ph.D in Education, Master of Educational Leadership, Bachelor of Education, Superintendent Leadership Certificate, and School Administrator Certificates Levels 1 and 2.
Nicole Girardin – Principal at École Bonnycastle School, effective September 2, 2025
Nicole is currently a Vice Principal at École secondaire Oak Park High School and previously held the position of Vice Principal at Acadia Junior High School. She values collaboration and shared leadership, fostering an environment where educators and staff actively contribute to decision-making. With expertise in assessment, literacy, French Immersion philosophy, Indigenous Education, inclusive practices, and mental health, she aligns school goals with divisional priorities.
Nicole is committed to ensuring that all students feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. She shared:
“I believe the goal of education is to provide a safe, caring and encouraging space to engage students in their learning to provide them with the opportunity to become life-long learners and productive members of our community, while enriching their lives in many ways.”

Damon Klassen – Term Vice-Principal at École Van Walleghem School, effective September 2, 2025
Damon is currently a Student Services Teacher at École South Pointe School and is an experienced educator with a strong background in early years and middle years classroom teaching, multiage education, resource support, English as an Additional Language (EAL), and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
Damon believes that growth and success come from a supportive and inclusive community. He shared:
“My philosophy of education is grounded in the belief that our entire community – students, teachers, EAs, and community members – can succeed when we all work together to create a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive culture that celebrates strengths and successes, while encouraging each other to continue learning and growing.”
Damon holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration, a Bachelor of Education/Arts, Level 1 Administrator/Principal Certificate and has earned certifications from the Pembina Trails Leadership Development and Cognitive Coaching programs.
Monaliza Vianzon – Principal at École Van Walleghem School, effective September 2, 2025
Monaliza is currently the Principal at École Bonnycastle School and previously held the Vice-Principal position at École St. Avila and was the Early Years Numeracy and Mathematics Consultant for the division. She has in-depth experience with supporting curriculum development, building professional learning communities, supporting colleagues, and facilitating inclusive practices.
Monaliza is dedicated to student well-being and success and believes that effective teaching is rooted in trust, empathy, and understanding. She shared:
“If we teach to each student’s heart, we fill their need to feel valued and safe. Once we build strong, trusting relationships with our kids, we create a clear path for them to take risks, to look to us for guidance and support, and to celebrate their successes with us. I believe that all students can learn, and if we don’t teach to the heart, we will have difficulty teaching to the brain.”
Monaliza holds a Master of Education degree in Curriculum, Teaching and Learning, Post Baccalaureate in Special Education, Bachelor of Education and completed the Programme de perfectionnement (langue seconde) École Internationale de Français (Trois-Rivières) Université du Québec.
Frank MacLean – Principal at Laidlaw School, effective September 2, 2025
Frank is currently a Vice Principal at École secondaire Oak Park High School and has previously held Vice Principal and Interim Principal roles at Linden Meadows. Frank is a proactive leader with expertise in staff growth and professional development. As a key member of the Indigenous Education committee, he works to enhance inclusion and identity within the school.
Frank is a strong proponent of inclusive and accessible education. He shared:
“All people should have an equitable opportunity to grow as individuals, be free to embrace and develop their identity and benefit from thoughtful and enriching environments. Education should support a multidimensional approach to meeting learners where they are at.”

Tanis Ryznar – Teaching Vice Principal at Fort Richmond Collegiate School, effective September 2, 2025
Tanis is currently the Student Services/At-Risk Teacher at Fort Richmond Collegiate. With seven years of experience in administration, she has held leadership roles including Principal at Beaumont School, Acting Principal at Westgrove and Whyte Ridge Schools, and Vice Principal at Whyte Ridge School.
Tanis is a dedicated educator with a strong commitment to the teaching profession, continually striving to expand her knowledge of best practices. She is a passionate advocate for all children, fostering meaningful relationships with stakeholders and creating a supportive learning environment. She shared:
“I believe education must be equitable, accessible and inclusive. We must do whatever it takes to remove existing barriers to education to ensure that every individual feels safe in the learning environment.”

Tori Patzer – Assistant Superintendent, Curriculum, Assessment and Learning Services, effective August 5, 2025
Tori is currently the Principal at École Van Walleghem School, was the previous Principal at École Viscount Alexander and has held Vice-Principal positions at École Viscount Alexander and Chancellor School.
Tori’s educational philosophy emphasizes equity, inclusion, and justice, with a focus on creating inclusive learning environments that celebrate diversity. She has extensive experience in assessment, data collection, and analysis, particularly in supporting Indigenous education and plurilingual programming. Her leadership approach involves strategic planning, data-informed decisions, and empowering educators through professional development and community partnerships. She shared:
“Ultimately, I believe that education is about preparing students to be confident, engaged, plurilingual global citizens who are ready to contribute to a just and joyful world. I am deeply committed to ensuring that every student has access to an inclusive and equitable learning experience that allows them to succeed. In the role of Assistant Superintendent – Curriculum, Assessment, and Learning Services, I look forward to bringing a great passion for inclusive education, cultural responsiveness, and professional learning to the broader division, working alongside educators, families, and communities to achieve shared educational goals.”
Tori holds a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership, a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in School Leadership, and a Bachelor of Education with a focus on French and Mathematics.
