Library Learning Commons

Our goal is to empower our students to become independent, informed, responsible citizens with a passion for life-long learning. We are committed to offering diverse, high-based cross curricular programming and collaborative partnerships. As a student-centered learning hub, we make every effort to create a welcoming, inclusive, and enriching space to build community and support academic and personal growth.”
The Linden Meadows Library Learning Commons is a dynamic and vibrant school community space where at any given time you will find students and staff learning through collaboration, making, planning and reading in our participatory environment.
We are proud of our welcoming and information-rich learning commons that is at the heart of our school. Our shelves house some of the best and latest books that meet the needs and interests of our students. We are excited to have a growing library collection that reflects the diversity of our learning community and fosters multimodal literacies to empower them as lifelong learners.
As a UNESCO school, our library programming often addresses social justice issues through our inquiry and literacy projects, as well offering a home base for our student UNESCO club. The library is also home to our popular MYRCA club (Manitoba Young Readers Choice Awards) bringing students together to share their common love of reading through hands on activities, author presentations, and book awards which highlight and celebrate Canadian authors.
It is the responsive nature of our space that keeps us at the cutting edge of some of the best educational practices, making our Library Learning Commons a place that truly inspires wonder and growth!
We invite our Linden Meadows school community to follow our learning journey, book highlights, and library events on our Instagram account, @msbrysonreads.
