Arts

Arts education is associated with gains in math, reading, cognitive ability, critical thinking and verbal skills. Arts learning can also improve motivation, concentration, confidence,and teamwork.  At Linden Meadows we value arts education and have developed a comprehensive program for students to have opportunities to be taught by our visual arts specialist at every grade level, to be engaged in ORFF music education until the end of grade five and in grades six to eight choose from our specialist programs in band and performing arts. Drama is taught to all students in grade seven and eight. Performance opportunities involve musicals, concerts and celebrations of our students’ work at music festivals, art expos and the sharing of dance.
