Parent Council

The E.V.A. Advisory Council for School Leadership (ACSL) is open to all parents, guardians and members of our school community. The Advisory council provides an opportunity for parents to participate with the school, give insight to the educational process, as well as provide support for our students and staff.

There are various school-based programs that are made possible by the ACSL including fun lunches (Munch-A-Lunch). The ACSL also contributes to school cultural events such as a traditional Voyageur lunch during the Festival du Voyageur, makes improvements to the school grounds, and endeavors to support the school community in every way possible.

The ACSL meetings are typically held on the 2nd Tuesday of every second month at 7pm in the school conference room.  New members are always welcome.

There are many benefits to being more involved with your child’s school community, and studies show that family engagement in schools improves student achievement, reduces absenteeism, and can improve social skills. When we show our children that their education is important to us, we are also telling them that they are important.

Having an education is a basic right, and if the parents and school share the responsibility our children can also have a great environment in which to receive their education.  Even an hour a month can have an impact, so please consider coming out to one of our meetings and see if there is a way you can get involved.

The 2025/2026 meeting dates are scheduled below. Please note that dates are subject to change - be sure to check the Tiger Beat emails and our social media for the most up-to-date information.
