Library Learning Commons
EVA’s library and learning commons is a flexible learning space where students can explore, discover, research, and expand their knowledge. Students can also develop their passion for literacy and creativity. It is a space where all students and staff feel welcome, can work collaboratively and find resources that touches their interests and needs.
Teacher Librarian: Mme Jennifer Bevan

The Library Learning Commons at École Viscount Alexander is a constant hub of activity. We focus on providing a diverse and modern collection of French and English books. We provide support for multi-model literacy, inquiry, information fluency, digital literacy and digital leadership. A focused effort is made to encourage creative and critical use of technology.

Sign Out Procedure and Late Policy
Students are allowed to borrow up to 4 books at a time.
Book exchanges are typically day 1, day 3 and day 5
All items are signed out for 1 school cycle and are renewable. Any items that are removed from the library must be signed out. If everyone cooperates in returning materials promptly, everyone benefits.
Students must return or renew their books before they can borrow more within the same cycle. However if a student has an overdue library book we will put a book on hold until the overdue is returned.
A list of late materials is printed every month for teachers. If an item is not returned after a month, lost or damaged you will be asked to pay the replacement cost.
