Tuesday, March 11th, 6 PM – The Perfect Storm

A thought-provoking presentation by Paul Loewen from Siloam Mission that explores the roots of homelessness in Canada—its past, present, and future— and what can be done about it. Gain valuable insights into this complex issue and learn how small changes can make a big impact.

Paul, Siloam Mission’s Manager of Advocacy and Accountability, is passionate about creating a Winnipeg without chronic homelessness. Not an optimist or pessimist, he considers himself a possiblist. Don’t miss this opportunity to expand your understanding and engage in meaningful discussion!

Tuesday, April 8th, 6 PM – Living in Two Worlds

Parenting across cultural expectations comes with unique challenges. Join us for an interactive presentation by Larissa Kanhai, a VW parent who will share insights from her published research, Bridging the Gender Gap. Together, we will explore ways to balance the traditions we were raised with and the realities of raising children in Winnipeg today. You’re not alone—many parents share these experiences, and this session is a chance to connect, learn from one another, and support each other through shared knowledge and insights.
