Parent Council

Hello General Byng community!

We at the General Byng Parent Advisory Council (BPAC) would like to welcome you to another fantastic year at Byng!

The role of the General Byng Parent Advisory Council is to:

• Act as an advisory structure to principal and staff, presenting parental and community perspectives.
• Promote community understanding, interest and involvement in the school.
• Act as a liaison among the school, parents, community, support organizations and promote communication.
• Be accountable to the school and membership for its activities and expenditures.
• Use fundraising to enhance the school experience for our students.

Our meetings are set to take place in the GB Library at 6 pm the first Monday of every month and we would love to see you! A reminder about the meeting that will include a place to respond if you are coming, will require childcare, etc. will be sent out prior so we know who to expect. 

The PAC is currently made up of four elected members: 2 Co-Chairs, a Secretary and a Treasurer. There are also 2 Members at Large plus the Principal/Vice-Principal as ex-officio members.
