General Supply List
Grade 8FI
2024-25

This supply list is designated as a “start” for this year. Once students have met their teachers, there may be additional supplies required. Supplies may need to be replenished during the year. It is best to keep extra supplies at home, to be brought to school as needed. When a number is indicated (6 blue pens), perhaps send 2 pens for the start of the year and then send more as needed. Supplies from the previous school year (example pencil crayons) are very acceptable. Where possible, please label the supplies with your child’s name. This will assist in keeping student supplies with their owner.

1 pencil case

4 - 6 highlighters

1 package (24) pencil crayons

2- 80 page COIL subject notebook

10 blue pens

1 -1” ZIPPERED binder

4-6 dry erase markers (whiteboard)

2 boxes of Kleenex

20 sharpened pencils

1- 30 cm metric ruler

1 self-contained pencil sharpener

100 sheets lined paper 8.5 x 11

1 deck playing cards for math

1 basic calculator (not scientific)

1 set of 5-6 binder dividers

100 graph paper sheets 8.5 x 11  (1 cm squares)

1 Backpack

PLEASE NOTE: Students must either bring a device daily to be used as an agenda OR purchase an actual weekly agenda.

Gym Supplies:

Students will not change for PE.  The largest barrier was students who did not have PE runners. PE runners allow your child to be prepared to be active while staying safe.  You have two options:

Option A: Wear runners to school on PE days of the cycle.

Option B: Wear outdoor choice of footwear to school and bring runners to change into.  PE runners should stay in your backpack.

Art Option Students:

Ms. Mary Ferguson mferguson@pembinatrails.ca will be providing a list of art supplies, communicated in June, with an option to purchase supplies (or an art kit) through the school.

Band Option Students:

Mr. Jeff Boch jboch@pembinatrails.ca will contact parents/guardians directly with a list of required supplies. If parents/guardians have questions, please email Mr. Boch.

Student Fees and Costs

Students will be asked to pay a $40 student fee. This will cover additional supply costs throughout the year and subsidize some field trips.

A Permission Click will be sent in the fall for these fees.

Field Trips

Permission Clicks will be sent for each field trip that is arranged.
