Schulich Leader Scholarship
Award Amount: Each undergraduate scholarship is valued at $60,000
Who can apply?
- Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada, attending a Canadian high school, secondary school or Cégep (in Quebec)
- Must possess at least two of the three following attributes: Outstanding community, business or entrepreneurial leadership, and academic excellence
- Financial need (planning to apply for financial assistance for undergraduate study at university)
- Must be enrolling in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) faculty at a minimum of one of 20 select Canadian universities participating in Schulich Leader Scholarships. For a list of participating universities, visit the website.
- Canadian Schulich Leader Nominees are selected by their high schools, secondary schools and Cégeps (in Quebec) from graduating students who are intending to study STEM subjects at a participating university.
- All participating universities are responsible for selecting the Schulich Leaders for their respective institution
- If you are interested, please seek nomination at your school by asking your principal or guidance counsellor.
- Be living in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico
- Be graduating high school seniors (U.S. and Puerto Rico), graduating from grade 12 (Canada) or graduating from home school education in the U.S., Puerto Rico or Canada
- Have a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent
- Plan to enroll full-time, without interruption, for the entire 2020-21 academic year at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico.
- Canadian Citizen (or permanent resident).
- Enrolled (or enrolling) as full-time student of accredited college/university within a Canadian province, for completion of undergraduate degree in Logistics or equivalent field.
- Limit of one (1) entry per contestant.
- Employees and professional affiliates of North American Van Lines (and their immediate families) are not eligible.
- The applicant must comply with CRA rules to qualify for the tax-free benefits of the scholarship, please see the rules on their scholarship website
- Your scholarship may be tax deductible. However, you are responsible for any tax reporting requirements and any tax due. We cannot give any tax advice
- Complete all required sections of our application form below.
- Be sure to attach the following documents to your application form:
- Copy of your most recent transcripts.
- Some verification of enrollment at your college.
- Submit a brief essay of between roughly 400 and 800 words, detailing why logistics/supply chain management is important within your college major of choice. A personalized tone, referencing your firsthand experience and sentiment, is best—no need to be too formal. We’d like to know why you truly believe in logistics as the best career path for you.
