Who can apply?
- Applicants must be enrolled in and successfully complete Global Issues: Citizenship and Sustainability (40S) in the current school year.
- Students enrolled in second term must be expected to successfully complete the course by their teacher.
- Applicants must be graduating from a Manitoba school in June of this year or returning to study at a Manitoba school in September of the following year
- Applicants must be a resident of Manitoba
- Applicants will complete and submit an application
- Summary of project
- Concept (eg: originality, assessed need, etc.)
- Scope and range of project (eg: Who did/will the project reach? How many people were/will be involved or influenced?)
- Content (eg: How does the topic relate to the Areas of Inquiry? How did/will the project educate, inform, or raise awareness of an issue?)
- Personal benefit (eg: What did you learn from doing this project/about the issue/about your community?)
- Business Sector Scholarships: Manitoba residents wishing to enter or continue their post secondary studies in a business related program at a Manitoba University or accredited College.
- Automotive Industry Scholarships: Manitoba residents who are actively involved in the Automotive Industry either as a student, employee or apprentice and pursuing their Red Seal Certification as an Automotive Service, Collision Repair or Collision Refinishing Technician.
- Agriculture & Agri-Food Industry Scholarships: First year student entering agriculture or a related program of study at a Manitoba University or an accredited College.
- Tourism Industry Scholarships: Manitoba residents wishing to enter or continue in the Hospitality /Tourism Diploma program at Red River College, Assiniboine Community College or St. Boniface College.
- Aerospace Industry Scholarships: Manitoba residents who are actively enrolled in the Aerospace programs at Technical Vocational School, Murdoch MacKay Collegiate or R.D. Parker (Thompson)

- Submit the application along with the required supporting documents for your scholarship of choice (details available online).
- Be graduating from a Manitoba high school in current year of application.
- Applicant is planning to attend a post-secondary institution next year.
- An academic standing of 70% average. Mid-Term transcripts are to be submitted with application.
- Applicant is an active member of their High School's Rugby team.
- Applicant is committed to pursuing rugby after graduating high school.
- Participate in a minimum of two (2) interscholastic MHSAA recognized athletic programs.
- Minimum average of eighty-five percent (85%)
- Must be taking a full course load, with at least two (2) 40S level courses.
- Grade 12 students only (second year grad 12 not eligible).
- Athletics, academics and citizenship taken into consideration.
- Essay - Please write a 200 word essay on the importance of high school sport, and how you have benefited by being a part of school athletics.
- One Passport Size Photograph - (Head and shoulders) must accompany the application. (please ensure that the photo is securely attached to the application, not scanned photo's please)
- Two Character Reference Letters must be submitted.
- Nomination Letter from the school Principal.

- One $500 scholarship will be awarded to a student from Winnipeg
- One $500 scholarship will be awarded to a student from outside of Winnipeg
- One $500 scholarship will be awarded to an Indigenous student
- The essay should discuss the applicant’s vision for the future of Manitoba, and answer the question, “If you were elected Premier of Manitoba, what would you do?”
- Additional essay requirements: 1000 word maximum, word processed, double spaced, 12-point font (Arial or Times New Roman)

- There is no age restriction
- Write an essay (maximum 1000 words) on the following topic: Discuss what you would consider to be the most important issue that society has to deal with in the next 10 or 20 years? Why do you think this issue so important?
- Include your name and the school you are attending this year and next
- Citizens of Canada or landed immigrants with the intent of working in Canada
- High school, CEGEP, or undergraduate students enrolled full-time in a recognized Canadian post-secondary educational institute.

- Letter of acceptance (if applicable)
- Students graduating from high school who intend on furthering their education in college or university immediately after completing high school.
- Students must intend on pursuing excellence in playing, gym supervision, refereeing or coaching basketball.
- The student must have played, refereed, convened or coached basketball in the WMBA either in community club or Rising Stars league continuously for a minimum of five years.
- The student has demonstrated extraordinary commitment to basketball in one of the areas previously identified.
- The student has been an ambassador for the WMBA and has promoted the league in the community.

- Evidence of acceptance into a post-secondary educational institution will be required for funds to be released
- Currently be enrolled or expects to be enrolled in a degree program (2 years of length or greater) by September
- A student must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and submit an answer to the essay question prior to the submission deadline. A student must be a US resident or a Canadian resident and must also attend a school in Canada or the US.
- Graduating high school student who has been accepted into a full-time academic program in Physical Sciences at a Canadian university in the fall
- A minimum 80% average is required for this award based on copies of official high school transcripts
- a demonstrated passion for physics outside of the normal academic environment (e.g. being a member of a local amateur astronomy club, volunteering with a physics association)
- Demonstrated interest in a wide range of activities outside of physics (e.g. community involvement, sports, debating clubs, etc., including volunteer activities in service of others)
- A completed application form
- Copies of your official high school transcript
- Proof of acceptance into a full-time academic program in Physical Sciences at a Canadian University
- Letter(s) of recommendation from a teacher, principal, professor, etc.

Manitoba Foundation for Sports Scholarships

- The Manitoba Foundation for Sports (MFFS) scholarship program administrated by Sport Manitoba was established to support young athletes of Sport Manitoba partners, who continue to participate in amateur sport while pursuing a post-secondary education on a full-time basis.
